Compose a research paper outlining the five processes of lectio divina.

The goal for the discussions in this course is to create an intentional space for authentic and inspired conversations. Each forum will involve two parts: (1) your initial post responding to specific questions, and (2) your responses to others’ posts.
For your initial post, your goal is to apply at least two concepts or ideas encountered in course readings, resources, or research in answering the assigned questions. You should also make connections to other resources or points from previous readings and discussions.
For your responses to others’ posts, your goal make at least two quality and constructive responses. These responses should be thoughtful, and each one should bring in at least one outside source (e.g., video, blog post, article, Bible verse, etc.) to push the conversation in a new direction.

Lectio Divina is an ancient practice from Christian scholars in which we let the words of God seep into our very souls. Choose a passage of Scripture—no longer than a paragraph—and practice Lectio Divina. Read the passage over and over and over again, for an extended period of time, reciting the words out loud, reading silently, writing them down—let them sink into your soul.
Share in a post how your understanding has changed, and how this small, intentional passage of text influenced your understanding of God. Reflect on the power of words; each word of your passage was chosen with purpose. How will you similarly choose your words with such purpose? How can this approach help you to choose your words on social media?
