Sociologists are always interested in inequality, why we have inequality, and who benefits and suffers from inequality. In this lesson, we discussed two bases of inequality in society- race and gender. Later, we will look at inequality based on social class.
There are many other ways that inequality manifests in society. What is an example of another basis of inequality you see in society? What do you think are some of the causes and consequences of this inequality? How does your example compare to what we learned about racial and gender inequalities?
It may be helpful to reference/cite the assigned material in your response demonstrating connections between your thoughts and the course resources.
