As the operations manager is preparing the schedule, the sales manager suggests that the demand for the gas model could be increased through an advertising campaign that would cost $150,000. It would most likely increase demand by 5000 units.

Complicating the decision further, the manager in charge of battery production indicates the battery capacity could be increased by 10,000 units. She suggests the cost to increase capacity would likely be $90,000.
