In 250 to 300 words, describe how the design incorporates at least four terms/concepts from our discussions of Design Elements. (Line, Focus, Weight, Texture, Color, Light) An image of the design you are analyzing should be included. Be specific and descriptive. Answer the following questions:

Part II

For this part of the assignment, you will create your own scene or costume design for the play Yellow Face. It must follow these guidelines:

For scene design, your design must fill an 8 ½” x 11” page in landscape orientation; for costume design, you must create two renderings, each of which fills an 8 ½” by 11” page in portrait orientation

Your design must be neat and in color

Your design must use the Design Elements you analyzed in Part I

Part III

Finally, you will reflect on your design. In 350 to 500 words, you should explain how you chose to use Design Elements and concepts. Be specific and descriptive. Answer the following questions:

Describe your process in creating your design.

What Design Elements did you use and how?

How does your design’s use of Design Elements and concepts effectively represent the play as you understand it? How does it solve problems presented by the script or the design you analyzed in Part I? How did any risks you took pay off? Include any references.

In what ways might your use of Design Elements and concepts BETTER represent the play as you understand it? How did any risks you took not pay off? Include references from the script.

How do you feel your use of Design Elements and concepts have improved upon the design you analyzed in Part I in representing the play as you understand it? Include references from the script.
