Discuss the sampling methodologies and specific techniques used in each article and whether you think these were appropriate for the studies.

As a researcher, it is essential to understand sampling methods when creating or evaluating research. For this week’s main post, complete a literature search for one peer-reviewed article (quantitative) in which probability sampling was used and another (either quantitative or qualitative) in which nonprobability sampling was used to sample.
For each article, identify and describe the target and accessible populations as well as the study samples.

Discuss the sampling methodologies and specific techniques used in each article and whether you think these were appropriate for the studies.
Include references with a direct link to both articles or attach the article to your main post for review by your classmate’s and faculty.

Identify if the articles were reviewed by an institutional review board (IRB) and discuss the role of the IRB in research ethics.
In responding to classmate’s review of sampling methodologies posted, consider whether you agree or disagree with your classmate’s assessment of each article in regards to probability and nonprobability sampling (provide commentary on both). Support your opinion with evidence from each article. Provide commentary on your classmate’s assessment of similarities and differences in probability and nonprobability sampling. Provide commentary on the role of the IRB in research ethics.

Your initial discussion board thread is to be 250-300 words including two APA references. References are to be from peer-reviewed journals and not older than 5 years age. Provide a thorough response to two classmates with a 100 words each, and use APA references as needed. When choosing a classmate’s post to review, please respond first to a student that does not have a classmate response first to assure all students receive student feedback.
