As seen with Jason in this week’s introduction, the research process involves the ability to dive into original, scholarly research, which can seem like a daunting task. The first step in creating new research is to look very closely at what has already been done, and as a student in the master’s program, you will begin to develop this skill as well. Even if you do not plan on becoming a researcher, many careers will require that you know how to find, decipher, and apply relevant information.
For this discussion, you will articulate your process for approaching a literature review that will help refine your annotated bibliography. To do this:
Read one of the following Chapters in the text — 2, 3, 4, 7, or 8. Read a different one than you read last week.
Identify the topic you will be examining for this week’s Annotated Bibliography assignment.
Explain the strategies you used or will use to identify resources on the chosen concept for an academic paper.
After conducting an initial search, discuss limitations and problems encountered in finding appropriate research.
Guidelines:
Your post must be a minimum of 350 words.
