Explore Emergence of Technology as a Tool Used to Satisfy Human Purposes

Instructions
Background
Technology is a tool used to satisfy human purposes. Technological utopianism (techno-utopianism), technological dystopianism (techno-dystopianism), and technological neutrality (techno-neutrality) are philosophical views based on the impact of technology on social progress.
For this assignment, you will use the University library and online search engines to perform research in the topic area of IT policy and strategy as part of IT governance framework. Select a global case study and justify a policy/governance interest area (in your chosen domain of study) to use as the foundation for your draft proposal.

Instructions
Explore the emergence of technology as a tool used to satisfy human purposes, introduce philosophical views, and determine your own philosophical view. For this assignment, you will use the University library and online search engines to perform research on the history of technology and its relevance for technological emergence and its relationship to society over time. Identify a global case study (current policy, technology, governance, or cyber event in your domain of study). Analyze Information Technology (IT) frameworks and governance for your chosen global case study and explore gaps between theory and practice in technology innovation management.
Your report should synthesize your findings by referring to the research review of sources found to support your claims and ideals. Do not summarize the articles. Instead, use them to inform yourself as you formulate a logical narrative that addresses the following:
1: Discuss the history of technology and its relevance for technological emergence and its relationship to society over time.
2:Explain the basic concept of technology and its basic philosophical views (utopian, dystopian, and neutral).
3: Determine your philosophical view. Explain why?
4:Discuss a recent newsworthy global case study (current policy, technology, governance, or cyber event in your domain of study).
5: Identify an area of interest to you from a theoretical standpoint (consider gaps in literature between theory and practice in technology innovation management). Are there any current operational and/or technical elements that are critical in today’s information technology innovation management landscape that are missing or not thoroughly discussed?
6: Provide an overview of the various frameworks, models, and standards used in your domain of study and detail how these tools can provide a structured approach to technology innovation management.
7: Describe the theory, framework, model, and/or standards that you recommend should be used for your interest area. Justify your rationale for this decision.
8: Discuss ethical considerations.
9: Create a table that compares and contrasts technological utopianism (techno-utopianism), technological dystopianism (techno-dystopianism), and technological neutrality (techno-neutrality). Insert table in body of paper and include table in appendix.
