The purpose of this project is to increase student’s depth of understanding regarding the history we are studying while developing skills related to digital media. These projects are intended to be flexible, have room for creativity, and be responsive to a students interests. While the class papers are focused on critical thinking and analysis, these projects are intended for exploration and can be descriiptive regarding things you find cool. As such, many of the options are defined by general criteria to provide for flexibility.
All of the following options are long-term projects intended to be worked on over multiple weeks. Each check is supposed to cover six weeks of student effort in a 15-week class. Waiting to the last movement to complete this shortly before it is due is not advisable, and will make you sad.
An entry consists of:
A detailed write-up of at least a full paragraph. These should be in your own words, though quoting from the textbook is acceptable for a portion of it.
A proper Chicago: Notes and Bibliography citation for entries that are derived from Gale. Citations are not necessary for material from the textbook. No other source of information is allowed.
An image of the event. Wikipedia is an acceptable source of these images. Please be sure an informal image citation is provided (source and URL minimum).
Provide in your website the number of entries listed above. Additionally, you should do a small amount of research in World History (Gale in Context)
