Write a research paper on the following three primary purposes of taxonomy.
I want you to select either a short section of a book, poem,
news article (anywhere from 1-3 pages) or a movie/video clip.

Some
students have found it easier to use the information gathered from the trade
book assignment and apply it to the Content Adaptation Assignment, that is
great and you are welcome to follow this route; others may wish to work on
something new, either choice is fine! Next, you will follow the
guidelines which I have included in the Content section of Canvas.

-The first document: Content Adaptation Assignment
Rubric Description describes the rubric which I would like you to
follow. Additionally, I have included step-by-step commentary on
completing each section of the rubric in the margin.

-The second document: Content Adaptation Assignment
Example provides you with a successfully completed Content Adaptation
which provides you with additional support when completing your own
assignment.

-The third document: SAMR Model Page compliments
the Content Adaptation Example. The SAMR Model PowerPoint is a one page
PowerPoint document that demonstrates to me that you understand how
important it is to provide a visual overview of your Content Adaptation
assignment, so that your more challenged ELL student will understand your
lesson. In the example which I have provided you will note that the first
example is related to the Content Adaptation Assignment Example.
The additional slides are examples from other students’ Content
Adaptations.

-The fourth document: Bloom’s Revised Taxonomy is
another way of explaining what you intend to accomplish after completing the
assignment.

-The final document: TESOL Classifications is
the classification system that I would like you to include when describing your
intended ELL student.

Please note that I have included an example of the grading
rubric and a successful trade book example which you should use as a guide to
complete your assignment.
